Sam Lackey, Insurance Coordinator
Sam is our Insurance Coordinator on staff. She began her dental career in 1981 as a Dental Assistant. In 1986 she graduated from UAB as a Dental Hygienist and has practiced Dental Hygiene for over 35 years. She looks to improve her knowledge of patient care by completing multiple continuing education courses throughout the year. Sam is married, has one son and resides in nearby Munford, Alabama.
Kim Otwell, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim is another one of our Registered Dental Hygienists on staff. She started her dental career as a Dental Assistant in 1988 and has been a dental hygienist for over 23 years after graduating from UAB in 1993. Kim is a hearing child of deaf parents which gives her the ability and knowledge to communicate with the deaf and hearing impaired patients we treat. She keeps up with the latest in dental hygiene treatment through the continuing education courses she attends every year. Kim is married and lives in Talladega, AL.
Hayley Franklin, Dental Assistant
Hayley is one of our dental assistants here at Cheaha Family Dentistry. She is a graduate of the Birmingham Dental Assisting Program. Hayley worked on the family farm prior to becoming a dental assistant. She loves being a dental assistant and spending time with her parents. She looks forward to furthering her career in the dental field. Hayley spends her off time with her Goldendoodle, Kover. She resides near Vincent, AL.
